1. The general aim of Lochside School is to provide an education that meets the intellectual, social and emotional needs of each pupil.

 

2. In particular the school seeks:-

(i)        to provide a friendly, welcoming and happy environment where pupils feel a real sense of security.

 

(ii)       to promote a culture of achievement which encourages continuous improvement.

 

(iii)      to give pupils a sense of self discipline, social and moral responsibility, respect for others and the world around them.

 

(iv)      to encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own learning.

 

(v)       to provide a wide variety of learning experiences in a stimulating and interesting environment.

 

(vi)      to provide a flexible and differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of individual pupils progress regardless of

            ability, gender, race or religion.

 

(vii)     to ensure that pupils leave Lochside School as caring individuals who enjoy the learning process.

 

(viii)    to provide the encouragement, opportunities and support required to meet individual and collective staff needs.

 

(xi)      to build positive relationships within the school community.

 

3. The school and its community should endeavour to ensure that pupils learn and teachers teach with confidence and security.
