The primary six children have settled into their new classes and are hard at work on their first topic of the year.
They are enthusiastically studying the life and times of Mary Queen of Scots with an eye to visiting Falkland Palace at the end of September. There they will be meeting the queen herself and having the opportunity to entertain the general public with their 16th century traditional dancing.
In the classroom they will be learning Scottish life in that era through dance, art and drama, writing and performing their own scripts. Not only will this bring history alive, the children will hopefully have fun and work co-operatively producing their own videos of the plays.
